For those who don’t speak Japanese:
This is Domoto Tsuyoshi.
First of all, I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude to all the people who have been working so hard to keep our society up and running, particularly health workers. Thank you.
Under the current circumstances, many people have got more time to spend at home, while others still have to venture their lives to go to work. However, when these people are at work, they would always get complaints and harsh criticisms that they don’t deserve. They have even become the targets of discrimination. Although they are under a lot of stress, they have been trying their best to do their job nonetheless. Because they are stressed, they are more likely to be affected by others’ grief. I’ve got a tiny suggestion which may help us calm ourselves down – calligraphy. I mentioned at the beginning of the video, right now, we’re relying on health workers and people from different sectors to keep the society up and running. Their hard work is the reason why we can live through this tough time together. We can write something to show our gratitude to all these people. We can also write something to show how much we appreciate our family members’ efforts. We can also pass on our thoughts to friends that we value.
Once you’re done, you can put the work somewhere in the room, where you can easily see. This calligraphy work bursting with feelings should help you calm yourself down. So that we won’t feel lost. So that we can learn to grow and live our life properly.
I would like to write something for the fans who have been reading my journals. I wrote the character “heart”. The actions and words of good hearted people, plus everyone’s good will, can certainly help us get to a bright future. These were my thoughts when I wrote down this character. I hope we can support each other with solidarity and a heart that is tough but gentle. Let’s get through this together.
